DJ Kool Herc is a Jamaican born DJ who is one of the main men behind the originating of hip hop music in the Bronx, NY.

His style brought the use of 2 copies of the same record to mix the break, this formed the basics behind what today is known as hip hop music.

Without him and a few others....Hip Hop might have never come to be what we listen to and enjoy today...
